Lucas Roper, 19, now faces charges of tampering with evidence in connection to the death of 18-year-old Daniel Erving.

Erving died in April after jumping from a Rowlett bridge into Lake Ray Hubbard.

Police say roper and a 16 year old, not being identified because of their age, both saw Erving go under but did not call 911 or report the drowning.
