While attending a University of Houston luncheon with the Touchdown Club of Houston, Cougars head coach Willie Fritz did more than provide an update on the team ahead of the 2026 season.
After Texas Tech football dealt with former quarterback Brendan Sorsby declaring for the NFL Supplemental Draft amid backlash over being allowed to participate in the upcoming season after admitting to gambling on games in which he played, Fritz made it clear he frequently speaks with his quarterbacks about avoiding gambling altogether.
