WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A beloved local destination is ready to welcome back visitors with enhanced accessibility and a fresh look.

The Cameron Park Zoo hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday evening to celebrate the reopening of the newly refreshed Junior League of Waco Butterfly Garden, which is set to officially welcome the public this Labor Day weekend.

The extensive refurbishment was funded by a $20,000 seed money contribution from the Junior League of Waco (JLW) in celebration of its 90th anniversary of service to the Waco community.
