VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A Canton woman is accused of driving while intoxicated in a wreck that seriously injured another woman.

Rebecca Nicole Briggle, 36, is charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury.

The Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of State Highway 64 and Farm to Market 858 on June 10, around 9:30 p.m. There, the responding trooper said a strong smell of marijuana was coming from Briggle's vehicle, an arrest affidavit states.
