The Upper Guadalupe River Authority awarded the Hunt Volunteer Fire Department $15,000 to install an approximately 40,000-gallon rainwater tank at its Miller Station.

The satellite station also represents a partnership between Hunt VFD and Mo-Ranch.

"The new Miller Station will allow us to more quickly and efficiently respond to fires in the western reaches of the county and will increase our overall preparedness for wildfires. The funding from UGRA played an important part in getting the station operational. This site will capture almost 70,000 gallons a year of rainwater that we can use to protect our community," said Bob Taylor, Hunt VFD president.
