The Comal County Democratic Party headquarters sustained significant damage after a vehicle crashed through the front of the building sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning in what party officials believe may have been a politically motivated act.

According to a statement to The Herald-Zeitung Friday by Comal County Democratic Party Chair Victoria Locke, the damage occurred between 4 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday, when a vehicle was driven through the front window of the headquarters, causing structural damage.

No one was inside the building at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
