Shortly before 10 a.m. CT today, the National Hurricane Center announced Tropical Storm Arthur had formed near the Texas coast.

Arthur will be a short-lived tropical storm, expected to weaken tonight into a tropical depression.

While we will have a chance for a few showers from Arthur this evening and tomorrow, impacts for East Texas will be minimal.
