TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Northeast Texas Public Health Authority (NET Health) is wrapping up the inaugural year of its free summer youth gardening program, with plans already underway for a fall season.

Over the past nine weeks, children participating at NET Health's Center for Healthy Living learned how to plant, nurture, harvest and cook their own fresh produce.

While the summer program concludes next week, organizers plan to launch a fall version once temperatures cool down, introducing a new selection of seasonal plants.
