DPS says suspect in Midland shooting died from self-inflicted gunshot wound

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - DPS has released the cause of death for the suspect involved in Friday morning's mass shooting incident in Midland.

According to DPS, an autopsy determined that Victor Mata Villarreal died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

DPS has released the cause of death for the suspect involved in Friday morning's mass shooting incident in Midland.(Midland County Sheriff's Office)Texas Rangers are continuing to investigate the incident, no more information has been released.
