Looking to build on the existing academic strength of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic High School, increase enrollment and increase programming on campus, the Archdiocese of San Antonio and the Board of Directors of Our Lady of the Hills Regional Catholic High School have entered into a management and services agreement under which the archdiocese's Department of Catholic Schools will manage day-to-day operations of the Kerrville school.
The availability of the Texas Education Freedom Accounts voucher system to boost enrollment provides a unique opportunity to expand the local school to a regional Catholic educational campus.
Dr. Marti West, superintendent and department head of Catholic schools for the Archdiocese of San Antonio, said the arrangement should not be characterized as a takeover, but rather a collaboration.
