COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Bringing friends, family, and other musicians together through music."It's nice to see people come together. Music transcends, not to be clich, but everyone enjoys music," said Carly Loe, a Member of 'The Lowdown.

From Jazz and Folk music, to covers or tributes, no matter the music taste, there was a sound for everyone across College Station for the annual Make Music Day, a worldwide celebration of music."You can go to 1 location today and see 4 different types of music. You and your friend or you and your family might not be into the same type of music, but you can go together, and there will be something for everyone there," said Sadie Martinez, the Event Coordinator for Visit College Station.

One of the College Station performers, the Brazos Valley Big Band, aims to show that no matter the age or experience, you can become a part of something special through music."Well, all of our performers are usually either teachers or professional musicians. We even have attorneys, Texas A&M professors, or non-music professors. And basically most of us started at 10 or 11 in middle school band," said Travis Barney, a board member for The Brazos Valley Big Band.
