CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) - West Texas A&M University announced that WT President Walter Wendler has announced his retirement effective Sept. 1.

According to WT, Wendler will have served 10 years as WT's president.

"Universities earn confidence the right way, through clarity of mission, responsible stewardship and service to the public good," Wendler said.
