(KGNS) - Texas Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico is calling on the Trump administration to reverse cuts at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) as the state's cattle industry confronts a threat from a flesh-eating parasite.

In an interview with the KGNS Plus Washington Bureau, Talarico said the agency needs to be "fully staffed" so it can work with ranchers to keep New World Screwworm out of Texas herds.
