TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Witnesses testified regarding a Tyler man's childhood, employment history, and conduct while incarcerated as the sentencing phase for his capital murder conviction continued in Smith County Thursday.

Jamaurea Jermaine Britton, 22, was convicted of capital murder in the 2023 death of 18-year-old Dejah Hood.

Jurors are considering whether to sentence Britton to death or life in prison without parole.
