Dry weather graced the Kerrville Mountain Bike Festival at Kerrville Schreiner Park on Oct. 24-25, marking only the second time in six years that rain spared the weekend event.

"It's only the second time we've been at this location that it hasn't rained," Festival coordinator Lisa Nye-Salladin said.

"Last year we had that big rain right before the race. So the day was nice, but the trails were muddy, and we had to do a rain route. This year we thought, 'Let's just make the whole thing a rain route,' but we got lucky and didn't need it.".
