QUITMAN, Texas (KLTV) - A Quitman man charged in his wife's murder shot her in the head and left her in the bathroom, according to newly released arrest documents.

Weldon Powell was arrested on November 4 by Wood County Sheriff's Office deputies for the murder of his wife, Brittany Powell, both of Quitman.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on November 4, Brittany's brother-in-law called Wood County dispatch with a welfare concern.
