NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KLTV) - A student at McMichael Middle School was found in possession of two gun magazines inside the school building Friday, according to the Nacogdoches ISD Police Department.

In a parent notification issued by the district, school officials confirmed no guns or other weapons were found on the student."The incident was addressed immediately, and the student will be subject to appropriate Nacogdoches ISD disciplinary action in accordance with district policy," Chief Joel Barton said in the notification.

Barton urged parents and guardians to talk with their children about the seriousness of bringing prohibited items onto school property.
