WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A man is behind bars on a $60,000 bond after assaulting his father's live-in caregiver, according to an affidavit.

Adam Bennet, 40, is facing charges of assault of a household member by impeding breathing, with a previous conviction, and terroristic threat.

McLennan County deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Old Bethany Road at about 3:07 a.m. Aug. 5 in response to a reported domestic disturbance, according to the affidavit.
