LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - In the aftermath of Halloween celebrations, misplaced candy and decorations pose a serious hazard to family pets.
Dr. Noor Faisal, a veterinarian at Taylor Veterinary Clinic, shed light on some of the dangers pets face in the wake of Halloween celebrations and what steps families can take to minimize these dangers."The main thing is, if your dog does get into something, don't read stuff on Google and immediately try to induce vomiting or try to figure things out on your own," Faisal said.
"If there's any kind of poison involved, the poison help line is very important. The ASPCA has a hotline available to that you can call and get advice from, or you can call one of the local vets and check with them to see what they would recommend. Just not don't do anything on your own because there's lots of advice available online that is not very helpful for dogs."
