St. Peter's Episcopal Church's Help and Hope for the Hill Country continues to expand its music-based healing initiatives, bringing people together through songwriting, storytelling and shared experience as Kerr County navigates the long-term recovery from both the 2025 and 2026 floods.

The latest Healing Through Songwriting retreat on Sept. 25-27 at Camp Capers in Waring brought together songwriters Darden Smith, Mary Gauthier and Owen Temple to guide participants through the creative process of transforming personal experiences into song.
