Comment0WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco man on probation for evading police who was racing another vehicle when he was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in January 2024 was sentenced to 18 years in prison Wednesday.

Mario Rocha Jr., 26, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Waco's 414th State District Court, and Judge Ryan Luna sentenced him to 18 year in prison in accordance with a plea agreement with the McLennan County District Attorney's Office.

Luna also revoked Rocha's probation for evading arrest in a vehicle and sentenced him to 10 years in prison on that charge.
