The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department began issuing hunting and fishing licenses for the 2026-27 season Aug. 15.

Most current hunting and fishing licenses expire Aug. 31. The exception is the Year-from-Purchase All-Water Fishing Package.

Licenses are available online through TPWD at tpwd.texas.gov/business/licenses/online_sales/ , at department offices and participating retailers across the state.
