HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Summer is almost over for hundreds of thousands of Houston-area students as school districts prepare to return to class.

Crosby ISD is the first in the area to return on Aug. 5.

HISD returns on Aug. 10, Fort Bend ISD on Aug. 11, and other large districts including Cy-Fair ISD, Katy ISD, and Spring ISD go back on Aug. 12. The last of the districts in the area, Pearland ISD, returns on Aug. 19.
