If you ask someone to name the creeks in Gillespie County, you'll probably hear Barons Creek, Live Oak Creek, Grape Creek, perhaps Crabapple Creek or Pedernales River.

Those names have been with us for generations, carried forward by pioneers, ranchers, surveyors, and families whose lives were tied to the water.

But there is another creek in Fredericksburg that most folks cross without ever knowing its name.
