The Strategic Alliance for Leadership and Social Action (SALSA) hosted its 5th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on September 19 at Riverside Park in Brownwood, bringing together families, community members, local businesses and organizations for an afternoon and evening celebrating Hispanic culture, community and heritage.

The free, family-friendly celebration featured an evening full of music, food, games, entertainment and activities for all ages.

Attendees enjoyed performances by local young singer Paloma, Lotera, a salsa competition, a Grito contest, a kids' area with games and a piata, local food and shopping vendors, and a 50/50 raffle.
