AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) --As summer continues, so does travel along Route 66.

Visit Amarillo Director of Marketing Hope Hoeffner shared that Amarillo has seen an uptick in travel, and they know that by talking to their attraction partners.

"After June, we reported a 26% increase in occupancy, meaning hotel stays," explained Hoeffner.
