RUSK, Texas (KLTV) - A 55-year-old woman died after she was struck by a tractor-trailer after falling off a bicycle Thursday in Rusk, according to a preliminary investigation by the Rusk Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety.

Charlotte Goff, of Rusk, died in the 1200 block of U.S. Highway 84, near Loop 343, Rusk police spokesperson Jeremy Farmer wrote in a social media post.

Officers responded around 8:50 p.m. to a report of a major crash in the area, and Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Judge Brenda Dominy pronounced her death, Farmer wrote.
