Texas gas prices increased 13 cents in one week as crude oil approaches $80 per barrel, with Houston maintaining some of the lowest average prices in the state at $3.55 per gallon.

Texas drivers are paying more at the pump this week as rising crude oil prices continue to push gasoline prices higher, though Houston-area motorists are still seeing some of the lowest average prices in the state.
According to AAA Texas' Weekend Gas Watch, the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3. 55, up 13 cents from last week and 76 cents higher than this time last year.
