NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Quilters came together to display over 100 quilts at the Fredonia Hill Baptist Church to kick off the Texas Blueberry Festival.
People of all ages attended the Blueberry Festival of Quilts."We have people in a stroller that's probably a few months old and we have people that are, you know, 90 years old," Jim Haley said.
Haley, a quilter, won best of show and the mayor's award."This is a quilt that I made several years ago. I named it 'Still Undefeated' because I started it and threw pieces of it away twice and decided it was not going to defeat me. So, I got it out and did it again," Haley said.
