MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The Midland Development Corporation and Midland City Council have approved a performance-based incentive agreement to support AST SpaceMobile's growing operations in the city.

AST SpaceMobile plans to build a 400,000-square-foot satellite manufacturing and production facility at the Midland Spaceport Business Park.

Officials said the expansion is expected to create about 1,800 jobs and generate more than $140 million in annual payroll at full build-out.
