County, state issue disaster declarations
Kerr County Judge declares local disaster due to severe flooding that began July 12, requesting state assistance from Gov. Abbott for emergency operations and infrastructure damage.

As of Thursday, July 16, Kerr County Judge Robb Kelly has declared a local state of disaster due to severe flooding that began on July 12 and continues.
He has requested a state declaration of disaster from Gov. Greg Abbott to assist in emergency operations.
"The impact of this threat has damaged local roads and sewer systems as well as several homes, schools and structures," Kelly wrote.
