Houston firefighters responded to a house fire in the 15000 block of Buxley early Wednesday morning, July 29, 2026, at approximately 1:17 a.m. Crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions and were able to remove one man from the home before transitioning to a defensive firefighting operation.

He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The Houston Fire Department is handling the investigation, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
