LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin police remain on the scene of a SWAT standoff on Brasell Street as officers work to get an individual out of a home, according to police spokesperson Jackie Zimmerman.

Zimmerman said the SWAT truck is on site and officers have been trying for several hours to talk the person out of the house after responding to a call at the residence.

She said she did not know the nature of the initial call, but police are actively working to remove the individual.
