(KGNS) - Webb County employees could see pay adjustments starting July 2, according to Precinct 4 Commissioner Ricky Jaime, after the county approved partial implementation of a new pay plan."Qualification requirements were reviewed and strengthened where appropriate. At the same time, experience, certification, specialized training and proven performance also play an important role in public service. Webb County's goal is to ensure a fair, merit-based system," Jaime said.

During the June 9 Commissioners Court meeting, the county was presented with three implementation options - 100%, 95% and 90% - before voting to settle at 97. 5%.
