City of La Feria opens safe shelter

The city of La Feria opened a safe shelter for residents on Monday afternoon.

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - The city of La Feria opened a safe shelter for residents on Monday afternoon.

The shelter, located at 1001 Pancho Maples Dr., opened at 5 p.m. on Monday and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

The shelter will provide sleeping cots for the community.
