(KGNS) - A stabbing in downtown Laredo near the Plaza Theatre on Lincoln Street began as a domestic dispute between two unhoused women before escalating into a brawl that left multiple people with cuts and injuries, police said.

Laredo Police Chief Miguel Rodriguez said others intervened in the initial argument, and someone pulled a knife during the confrontation."Then there was another two that intervened so it was a brawl in itself - people got cut and now we have a stabbing. So we have one arrest... there's another that's already coming, a second one, and a possible third arrest for assault," Rodriguez said.
