TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - Dedicated community members are stepping onto the dance floor next spring to raise funds for specialized pediatric care across Central Texas.

McLane Children's Hospital will host a "Dancing with the Stars" fundraising event next May, marking a first-of-its-kind benefit in the hospital's 15-year history.

Participants will spend months learning new dance routines before performing live in front of the community to support the hospital's medical equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, and pediatric specialists."In the 15 years that McLane's has been around, I have not seen an event like this," said Dr. Dominic Lucia, Chief Medical Officer of McLane Children's Hospital.
