The threat of a lawsuit against the county by the Kerr County Republican Party leadership on behalf of incumbent Precinct 2 Commissioner Rich Paces led to a special commissioners court meeting Thursday.

The single issue before the court that morning related to the question of candidate Jeremy Walther's eligibility to be elected to the Precinct 2 commissioner's seat on Nov. 3, which is challenged by opponent Paces and the Kerr County Republican Party.

The meeting was called to consider hiring outside legal help for the county to advise them on the potential legal action.
