Corpus Christi moves forward with security upgrades at Civitan Service Center

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Corpus Christi City Council has approved a $1. 2 million construction contract to improve security at the Civitan Service Center.

The project will install an electronic chain-link fence around the city facility, where officials say millions of dollars worth of vehicles and equipment are stored.

City leaders said the added security is intended to help prevent theft, vandalism and break-ins involving city-owned property.
