2 people found shot to death inside southeast Houston home; police searching for suspect

Houston police launched a homicide investigation early Sunday after discovering two people shot to death inside a home in the city's southeast side.

Officers were dispatched around 2:20 a.m. to a residence on the 12800 block of Glen Hollow Drive following a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found two bodies inside the home — a man and a woman both believed to be in their 20s or 30s. Police have not yet released their identities, though investigators determined both individuals appeared to be residents of the property.

According to Houston Police Lieutenant Pulido, authorities do not suspect the victims killed each other. No firearms were recovered from inside the residence, and detectives concluded a third person carried out the shooting. "Investigators do not believe the victims shot each other. Police did not find weapons inside the home, and detectives believe a third person was involved," Pulido told ABC13.

The suspect has not been captured, and police have not released a description of the person being sought. Investigators have conducted interviews with individuals connected to the incident and continued gathering leads. The homeowner was present during the shooting but told authorities they did not recognize the victims.

As part of their ongoing investigation, detectives plan to examine surveillance camera footage from equipment visible around the property. Crime scene unit personnel remained at the location Sunday morning collecting physical evidence.

Police characterized the shooting as a contained incident that presented no continuing danger to the surrounding community. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Houston.
