A residential structure fire claimed at least one life in northwest Harris County on Sunday morning, prompting a response from multiple emergency agencies to the scene.
Firefighters from the Cy-Fair Fire Department arrived at the home located in the 9600 block of Maple Leaf Drive in the Maple Leaf Gardens subdivision near Zaka Road. The blaze claimed the life of at least one resident, according to fire officials, though authorities have not yet disclosed additional details about the victim or their identity.
Responding to the emergency call were personnel from the Cy-Fair Fire Department and deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, along with several partner agencies. The coordinated response reflected the severity of the incident, which fire officials classified as a fatality fire.
