A fatal collision involving two commercial vehicles left one person dead on a Northwest Harris County roadway early Saturday, authorities said.
The crash occurred around the 2600 block of West Mount Houston Road, also known as Highway 249, in the early morning hours. A pickup truck and a semi-truck collided in what sheriff's officials described as a two-vehicle incident. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed that the pickup truck's driver died as a result of the crash.
