Josh Duggar, the former television personality convicted of acquiring and storing explicit images of children, has been relocated to an Ohio federal penitentiary, according to federal records.

Duggar's legal team appealed his conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court, which declined to hear the case. The decision marks another setback in his efforts to overturn the December 2021 guilty verdict that resulted in a sentence exceeding 12 years behind bars.

The 35-year-old spent four years confined at FCI Seagoville near Dallas before his latest transfer. His movements through the federal system have continued this year, with a May reassignment to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth. On July 1, he was processed through a temporary holding facility in Oklahoma City before arriving at his current location in Ohio.

Duggar gained widespread recognition as a cast member on the TLC network program "19 Kids and Counting," which documented the daily lives of his expansive family. The reality television platform launched his public profile years before his 2021 arrest and subsequent prosecution on federal charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Prosecutors documented that Duggar knowingly downloaded and retained images depicting minors in sexual situations. A jury found sufficient evidence to convict him on both counts presented at trial, resulting in the substantial prison sentence he is currently serving.
