Local Job Fairs and Career Workshops Offer Hope for Valley Residents

As the summer months approach, several organizations in the Rio Grande Valley are stepping up to help residents improve their job prospects. In Harlingen, a free job fair is being held at the McAllen Public Library, where more than 40 employers will gather to network with potential employees [ValleyCentral]. Meanwhile, in New Braunfels, a different type of event is taking place. The city's human resources department is partnering with the New Braunfels Public Library to host a series of free career skills workshops this summer.
