WHITE OAK, Texas (KLTV/Gray News) - A woman died after being hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant, authorities said.

White Oak police responded to the fatal crash around 4:35 p.m. Oct. 21 in the McDonald's parking lot in the 600 block of East U.S. Highway 80. During the investigation, officers determined a woman walked out of the building, crouched in the driveway and began looking in her purse when a vehicle drove around the building and hit her, authorities said.

Officers determined the woman was not visible to the driver due to rounding a blind corner and the woman being so low to the ground, according to a release.
