At this point, the district title is out of reach for the Geneva School of Boerne football team, but they still have plenty to play for as the Eagles host Holy Cross on Friday.

If the Eagles (7-1, 3-1) beat Holy Cross (3-4, 2-2) on Friday, they'll secure second place in the district standings and clinch a playoff spot at the same time.

Kickoff for Friday's homecoming contest is set for 7 p.m. in Boerne.
