Funds go to support families of fallen first responders Boerne's sixth annual Tug the Truck event raised $37,000 for the 100 Club of Kendall County.

Held in front of Black Rifle Coffee Co., 101 S. Main St., the Sept. 12 event invited community members and organizations to compete in three categories: Tug the Truck, where teams raced to pull a fire truck 40 feet; Drag the Dummy; and the Police Car Push.

All proceeds benefit the nonprofit organization, which provides financial assistance to Kendall County first responders and their families when needs arise that are not covered through traditional taxpayer-funded support.
