(KGNS) - Haynes Recreation Center has started a new adaptive aquatics class for adults and seniors with disabilities called Making Waves.
The class began last month and takes place the first and third Wednesday of the month, according to Jennie Sanchez with the Parks and Recreation Department.
The program includes about 20 to 30 minutes of open swim or lap time, followed by 30 minutes of water aerobics with music."So it takes place at Haynes Rec Center. The pool has an area where they can do laps. We give them about 20-30 minutes to do their free swim or walk up and down the pool to get some laps in. And then we give them about 30 minutes of water aerobics with some great music and great energy," Sanchez said.
