MINEOLA, Texas (KLTV) - A Mineola man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to beating a woman after she blocked him on Facebook, according to the Wood County District Attorney's Office.

Christopher Lynn Combs, 50, pleaded guilty Thursday to assault causing bodily injury family violence with a previous conviction before 402nd District Court Judge J. Brad McCampbell, according to court records.

On Dec. 13, 2025, the woman called 911 to report that Combs attacked her after he "went off" about being blocked on the social media website, punching her in the face, head and torso, according to District Attorney Angela Albers.
