The Kerrville Police Department is investigating a possible murder-suicide after discovering an adult female and adult male deceased inside a residence in the 600 block of Lois Street Wednesday morning.

"On Wednesday, September 16, around 9:45 a.m., Kerrville police officers responded to a call for service to check the welfare of an adult male who had not been seen for several days," KPD Sgt. Jonathan Lamb, public information officer, said.

"Officers ultimately made entry into the residence and located two persons with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene The deceased female has been identified as 62-year-old Shannon Ratliff, Lamb said. "The Kerrville Police Department extends our condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time," Lamb said. "64-year-old Wayne Ratliff was also discovered deceased inside the residence.
